Runtracks are an innovative project in Poland and Europe. They were created in forests near Świeradów-Zdrój. It is a designed network of forest paths for runners and bikers, built and maintained according to strict rules, with maximum respect for the surrounding nature. The paths wind between trees and forest glades, and their sections are connected by existing forest roads. The path forms a loop that guarantees a return to the starting point.
The observation tower was built on the top of Czerniawska Kopa, in the same place where its predecessor stood many years ago. It was made of durable larch wood. It is 15 m high and has two viewing terraces. At the same time, it can accommodate about 20 people. Next to the tower, a place for rest and bicycle stands have been built, which is important due to the close proximity of Singletrack cycle paths. The tower was put into use in November 2019.
Świeradów-Zdrój Traditional "Cure House" (in Polish: Dom Zdrojowy) was built on the site of the former ‘spring House’ (in Polish: Dom Źródlany), a building dating from 1781 which was destroyed in a fire on December 14th, 1895. It was rebuilt by the Schaffgotsch family, the previous owners of the town, and in 1899 opened its doors to the first patients.
Chatka Górzystów mountain shelter is situated on the Izerska Meadow (in Polish: Hala Izerska). In the 17th century Bohemian religious exiles established a settlement here called Gross-Iser, of which the refuge is the sole surviving building. In 1734 the settlement was inhabited by 13 cottagers and peasants owning their own houses and plots of land.
The settlement was composed of shepherd’s cottages, as many as 38 of them by 1880. Chatka Górzystów draws tourist with its homemade meals, with the spécialité de la maison being pancakes and fried cheese, and has 40 beds to accommodate guests. Open all year round.
A Major attraction of Czerniawa is Czarci Młyn (Devil’s Mill). This extraordinary structure is the heritage of a characteristic construction of the Silesian and Czech borderland. It dates back to 1890 and is still equipped with an original plant. Everyone visiting this place may see how millers used to work on the turn of the 19th and 20th century.
No-one knows whether they had to sign a pact with the devil to get to know the secret of baking, but they say deuces and devils often visit the mill. To secure oneself against the evil powers, it is recommended to pet the lions which guard the entrance.
Visitors may tour the unique collection of the Devil’s Mill while eating a chunk of homemade bread baked in the mill according to the traditional recipe in an oven which is over 100 years old.
BAMBINO-SKI is a wide and gentle slope with a length of 120 m located in the city center. It is located at ul. Górska, about 100m from the Spa House.
The Lift includes equipment rentals, food service, free parking and SNOWTUBING, or track snow (gutter), which rolls off on the special tire. A ski and snowboard school, with licensed instructors, is available to all comers who want to learn to ski or snowboard.
The Świeradów Zdrój Gondola Lift is a must stop for all winter sports lovers.Gondola lift opened it gates in 2008 and it is able to lift up to 2,400 people per hour. Thanks to the solutions implemented by its designers and constructors, it lives up to the highest standards in terms of comfort. Świeradów Zdrój Gondola Lift operates all year round. In the winter season it makes it easier and exciting to perambulate powdered peaks, whereas in summer it makes mountain getaway possible to both hikers and tourists on bikes.
The design of the Świeradów-Zdrój Cloud Path tower is designed in the form of a multifunctional adventure and cognitive tower, the primary purpose of which is to provide views of the surrounding area. The tower is to provide the visitor with a bird's eye view of the beauty of nature in the vicinity, the city of Świeradów-Zdrój, the Kwisa River valley, and the surrounding mountains. The path is 799 m long and ends with a viewing terrace 56.6 m above the surrounding area. There are several more attractions on the path, among others; cableway, slide, relaxation network.
